Cedarwood is a warming, drying, and clearing essential oil, a good choice for clearing congestion and pain relief. It has a woody dry aroma, slightly camphorous and a hint of sweetness.

Aromatherapy Uses

Nervous: neuralgia, stress, tension, exhaustion.
Skin: acne, wounds, ulcers, scalp problems such as dandruff, excess oiliness, and alopecia.
Respiratory: bronchitis (especially chronic), catarrh, coughs, colds, TB.
Circulatory: clears arteries, cellulite, stimulates lymph circulation.
Muscular-skeletal: arthritis, rheumatism, aches and pains, stiffness.
Genito-urinary: urinary tract and vaginal infections, vaginal discharge, cystitis, pruritis.

Cedarwood is a base note essential oil and blends well with bergamot, clary sage, jasmine, juniper, lemon, neroli, rosemary, rosewood, and ylang ylang. It is made through steam distillation wood, stumps, and sawdust.
