Vetiver Pure Essential Oil (Vetiveria zizanioides)

Vetiver is a deeply relaxing and unblocking essential oil, excellent for stress, tension, and over sensitivity. It also stimulates glands and circulation, which makes it good for acne (especially hormone-related), stimulating blood flow, and scanty or no periods. It has a strong earthy woody aroma.

Kathryn Anne Vetiver Essential Oil comes in a 5 or 10ml glass amber bottle with a black screw top lid that includes a dropper.

Nervous: stress, tension, over sensitivity, aphrodisiac, protective shield.
Skin: acne, cuts, oily skin, wounds.
Digestive: congested liver, pancreas.
Circulatory: blood flow through coronary arteries and veins.
Immune: immune system tonic.
Endocrine/Reproductive: scanty or no periods, promotes pancreas secretions.

Vetiver is a base note essential oil and blends well with clary sage, lavender, patchouli, rose, sandalwood, and ylang ylang. It is made through steam distillation of the roots of the grass.

Vetiver roots have been used in the East for their fine fragrance since antiquity, and in India and Sri Lanka the essential oil is known as ‘the oil of tranquility’. The grass is called ‘kuskus’ and is used to make awnings, sunshades, mats, and blinds, which smell beautiful when dampened.
